Safe-T-Sweep, Inc.

About

Safe-T-Sweep is a 3rd generation family owned and operated chimney sweep and repair company. It was started back in 1980 by my father Ken and Gay Barr of Upper Darby. My father was an Upper Darby teacher/wrestling for over 30 years. My brother and I would help our parents in the early years. I (Jonathan Barr) took over the business in 1999 after doing 4 years in the Marine Corps. I always enjoyed the chimney sweep business, we have tons of wonderful customers and everyday is something new. We have 14 children and 8 grandkids. A beautiful daughter in the Marine Corps now! We also service commercial properties like the Merion Golf Course, Llanarch Country Club and Phelps School to name a few.

Recent reviews

Sweep and stove cleaning. Did a great job at a fair price. Room kept spotless and friendly service. Will repeat.

Awesome experience with Safe-T-Sweep. Very personable and conscience of my home. Highly recommend!!

Jonathan texted me and let me know when he’d arrive. When he did arrive he was very nice and seemed very genuine. If you meet him you’ll know what I mean. Our chimney was so dirty that he needed an additional vacuum. He was done before I knew it and when I walked into the living...

Great service, I’ll definitely be calling again for next years cleaning!

Highly recommend. He was thorough and honest. Will definitely use again.
